The Shib Army is mobilizing its vast network to advocate for the listing of KNINE, the native token of K9 Finance, on Gate.io.
The move comes after Gate.io quietly added support for SHIB and LEASH on the Shibarium network, further solidifying its commitment to the Shiba Inu ecosystem. The Shib Army buzzed with excitement when Gate.io began supporting SHIB and LEASH directly on Shibarium.
Although the exchange had not officially announced this feature, the news spread quickly after Maximous (@MaximousDarwin on X), a trusted community voice and Shibarium communication channel moderator, shared screenshots revealing the expanded support. Buzz, the pseudonymous founder of K9 Finance, seized the opportunity to directly appeal to Gate.io, highlighting KNINE’s integral role within the official Shiba Inu ecosystem.
In a series of tweets, Buzz emphasized that KNINE is the sole project missing from Gate.io as the official Shiba Inu ecosystem and its other partner Bad Idea IA are already in the exchange. He further underscored K9 DAO’s position as the official liquid staking solution for SHIB, further solidifying KNINE’s importance.

Gate.io acknowledged the request, stating they were not yet aware of any listing plans for KNINE but encouraged the community to monitor their announcement page for updates. Buzz promptly responded, confirming that K9 Finance has been in direct contact with Gate.io agents to provide additional information and expedite the listing process.
“Thank you for the response @gate_io. $KNINE is the only project missing from the official @Shibtoken ecosystem of projects and the token is now live on @ShibariumNet as well, which is a network that Gate supports. K9 DAO is the official liquid staking solution for the $SHIB ecosystem. We have followed up with the agents in a group chat to provide further updates to expedite a listing for the community,” Buzz told the exchange via an X post.
This groundswell of support from the Shib Army demonstrates the community’s unwavering dedication to expanding the reach of KNINE and strengthening the Shiba Inu ecosystem as a whole. While Gate.io has yet to officially announce a decision regarding the listing, the community’s enthusiasm and persistent advocacy may prove to be a decisive factor.
