Baby Doge Owner Announces Jason Derulo Airdrop; ZachXBT Says ‘Scam’

February 20, 2025

Abel Czupor, the owner and key figure behind the Baby Doge project, has announced a partnership with Jason Derulo for his new cryptocurrency, Jason Derulo Coin. However, blockchain analyst ZachXBT cautions that the move could be another scam.

In a post on X, Czupor shared a candid photo with Derulo, praising their “wonderful meeting” and hinting that they had discussed an airdrop of $JASON coins to Baby Doge Coin holders.

Following Czupor’s announcement, the crypto community responded swiftly, with blockchain analyst ZachXBT reviving the discussion of Derulo’s prior meme coin project and voicing skepticism about the new initiative.

“Jason Derulo is coming back to scam his audience with a new coin once again?” the blockchain sleuth wrote.

Czupor responded to ZachXBT’s comments by defending the partnership and noting that detailed tokenomics for the project would be released soon, while inviting the blockchain analyst to a private discussion for further review and feedback.

“Large majority of the tokens will be locked up with proper vesting to ensure the longevity of the token. Happy to chat in private to go over the tokenomics and collect some,” the Baby Doge owner wrote.

Several members of the crypto community also raised concerns about the project, while others questioned the future of the original meme coin that the singer initially endorsed.

Derulo’s involvement in the crypto space has been mired in controversy. In September 2024, ZachXBT revealed that the singer had endorsed more than 15 cryptocurrencies later tied to scams, with many of these projects collapsing and leaving investors with significant losses.

ZachXBT recalled Derulo’s earlier promises of a sustained presence in the crypto world — a commitment that later fell silent regarding his own initiatives. The analyst further noted that the singer had recently endorsed a Tron-based meme coin, only to remove the post shortly afterward.

Given Derulo’s history, doubt is rampant. Although this new meme coin purports to be different, many in the crypto community remain unconvinced about its potential.
