Shiba Inu’s SSI Solution: Name Tokens and Shib Name Service

In partnership with D3, Shiba Inu has created Name Tokens, blockchain-based tokens that allow users to send digital assets to multiple different blockchains without the need for long, alphanumeric wallet addresses prone to errors and phishing.

Furthering this development, the Shib Name Service (SNS) allows users to create their own decentralized identity, tied to their wallet, in the name.shib format. Following ICANN approval, users will even be able to use it as they would a .com or .org domain.
