Trump Collects $25M at Bitcoin Conference 2024

Republican candidate and former President Donald Trump, in an unprecedented show of financial support from the cryptocurrency community, amassed a staggering $25 million in donations during the Bitcoin Conference 2024.

Held in the bustling heart of Nashville, the event marks Trump’s second-highest fundraiser across his three presidential campaigns, signifying the growing influence of digital currency enthusiasts in the political arena.

The news was shared by Bitcoin Magazine CEO David Bailey, who is working with Donald Trump’s campaign to develop their Bitcoin and cryptocurrency policies. “For those of you who didn’t hear it in Trump’s speech, DJT raised $25m in Nashville. His second highest fundraiser ever across three different presidential campaigns. Came from a combo of industry and whales/OGs,” Bailey said.

The Bitcoin Conference 2024, already a highlight on the cryptocurrency calendar, transformed into a political powerhouse with Trump’s keynote speech. As attendees filled the expansive venue, a palpable buzz permeated the air. Industry leaders, crypto “whales,” and early adopters, often referred to as OGs, gathered with a shared enthusiasm for both blockchain technology and Trump’s political vision.

Last Saturday, the former president took the stage at the Music City Center to deliver a keynote address at the highly anticipated Bitcoin Conference 2024. Trump also hosted an exclusive campaign fundraiser in the heart of Nashville, where the ticket prices soared to unprecedented heights.

The fundraiser, aimed at bolstering his 2024 presidential campaign, saw tickets priced as high as $844,600 per person for top-tier access. The highest-priced tickets, pegged at $844,600, offered an unparalleled experience, including a coveted seat at a roundtable discussion with Trump.

This tier represented the maximum individual donation allowed to the Trump 47 Committee, providing donors with direct access to the former president’s insights and strategies. For those seeking a slightly more affordable option, the next tier included a photo opportunity with Trump, priced at $60,000 per person or $100,000 per couple.

Before the Bitcoin Conference, Trump’s 2024 campaign has raised over $4 million in Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. Leading contributions came from Gemini founders Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss, each donating over $1 million in Bitcoin.

Other notable donors include BitGo CEO Mike Belshe, Kraken founder Jesse Powell, and Ripple’s Stuart Alderoty, with substantial contributions in various cryptocurrencies. Former Messari CEO Ryan Selkis added $50,000 in USDC, while between May and June, 100 individuals donated crypto, with 19 donors contributing over $2.15 million in Bitcoin alone.
