Bybit Boosts Crypto Buying with Apple Pay Integration, Including SHIB

June 18, 2024

Major cryptocurrency exchange Bybit has announced in a press release the integration of Apple Pay for its Bybit Card, aiming to streamline and secure the cryptocurrency buying process.

The move signifies Bybit’s commitment to providing a user-friendly and secure platform for its customers venturing into the crypto market.

The integration promises various benefits for Bybit users: enhanced security, convenience, and potentially competitive pricing. Apple Pay boasts robust security features like Face ID, Touch ID, or device passcode verification, along with unique, dynamic security codes for each transaction. This adds an extra layer of protection compared to traditional payment methods.

Convenience is another key advantage. Bybit users can leverage the seamless experience of Apple Pay, eliminating the need to manually enter billing information or create new accounts during checkout. This simplifies the buying process, especially for those new to the cryptocurrency space.

Bybit has also emphasized its commitment to competitive pricing. The company currently offers over 20 fiat currencies for purchasing crypto assets with Apple Pay. To incentivize users further, Bybit announced a limited-time promotion with zero transaction fees on crypto purchases using Apple Pay until July 1, 2024 (10 AM UTC). This can be particularly attractive for users looking to invest in popular tokens like Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Shiba Inu (SHIB).

“We are thrilled to offer Apple Pay to our customers as a checkout option in the Bybit app or website, enhancing their payment experience with unmatched security and convenience,” said Joan Han, Bybit’s sales and marketing manager.

Bybit Card, introduced in March 2023, features a multi-asset spending function. It automatically converts cryptocurrencies into fiat currency for card payments and ATM withdrawals. Now, with Apple Pay, this process becomes even more streamlined.

While the future of cryptocurrency regulations remains uncertain, the strategic integration of Apple Pay positions it to cater to a broader audience seeking a secure and user-friendly platform to buy and trade digital assets.
