Crypto enthusiasts and Shiba Inu (SHIB) holders have a reason to celebrate. Fintech giant PayPal has joined forces with MoonPay, a popular cryptocurrency buying app, in a strategic partnershiΡ€ that will enable direct purchases of SHIB and other digital assets through PayPal.Β

The integration leverages MoonPay’s extensive infrastructure, boasting over 15 million users, to enhance the buying experience for SHIB enthusiasts. Users can now seamlessly purchase cryptocurrencies through wallet transfers, bank transfers, and even debit card transactions.

Previously, the reluctance of traditiΠΎnal bank to embrace crypto often posed limitations for users seeking convenient options. However, with PayPal’s massive user base of over 426 million active accounts globally, this collaboration opens up a new world of possibilities for both platforms.

Beyond SHIB, PayPal’s existing crypto Π°lso offering receives a significant boost from MoonPay. While PayPal previously supported a limited range of major cryptocurrencies, this partnership now grants access to a wider range of popular tokens. Users can now purchase Bitcoin, Ethereum, and of course, Shiba Inu, directly using their PayPal balance.Β

However, it’s important to note that some assets previously supported by PayPal might not be accessible for purchase through the payment processor, specifically for users in the U.S.

The collaboration holds significant implications for the crypto landscape in several ways.

Until now, buying and trading cryptocurrencies hasn’t been a straightforward process for everyone. Traditional banks’ hesitation to embrace crypto left users without convenient options. PayPal, with its vast user base, bridges this gap and makes the crypto world more accessible thΠ°n ever before.

MoonPay’s established focus on crypto and its substantial user base make it an ideal partner for PayPal. By embedding PayPal within MoonPay’s infrastructure, the collaboration ensures a seamless experience for users regardless of their preferred payment method, whether wallet transfers, bank transfers, or debit card transactions.

PayPal users now have the added benefit of funding their SHIB purchases using their PayPal balance, direct bank withdrawals, or debit cards. This flexibility caters to a wide rΠ°nge of preferences, allowing users to choose the best method.
