Shibarium Hits New Heights: Milestone Achieved As L2 Rivals’ Transactions Surge Post-Dencun Upgrade

March 18, 2024

Shiba Inu’s forefront layer-2 scalability solution, Shibarium set the pace in the crypto sphere. While rival L2 networks reported seeing a remarkable surge in transactions post-Dencun upgrade, Shibarium remained unfazed. Its unparalleled performance has propelled it to a major milestone, surpassing 412 million total transactions, solidifying its position as the fresh but unstoppable force in the industry.

Shibarium proudly achieved a major milestone, having processed more than 412 million transactions, with an impressive influx of over 3.7 million transfers recorded in recent days. Notably, this accomplishment came as the blockchain’s daily transaction output remained consistent, maintaining a level of 1 million.

In the wake of Ethereum’s Dencun upgrade, which notably reduced gas fees, several L2 chains observed a surge in their daily transactions. However, Shiba Inu’s L2 remained steadfast and showcased resilience, achieving this latest milestone. Shibarium also continued its trajectory with unwavering performance despite experiencing a fourfold decrease from the average daily transfers of 4.2 million in February.

Earlier today, Shibarium Tech marketing specialist who uses the X handle @LucieSHIB posted a compelling tweet outlining the transformative impact of Shibarium projects on the broader Shiba ecosystem. Highlighting key benefits such as increased transactions and volume, enhanced rewards for validators and more financial incentives for delegates, she emphasized the potential for significant growth within the ecosystem.

The spotlight was also thrown on the increased visibility for $SHIB and associated tokens like $LEASH and $SHEB, which could attract more attention and investment into the ecosystem. Central to the marketing specialist’s message was a rallying call to the community, advocating for unity and collaborative effort over engaging in fear, uncertainty, doubt (FUD), and gossip prevalent in the crypto world. By stressing “Community for [the] community,” Lucie championed a collective approach to overcoming challenges and achieving the ecosystem’s ambitious goals.

Aside from its surging transactions, Shibarium recently received a new feature courtesy of Shibariumscan, the network’s block explorer. Aimed at bolstering the functionality of its platform, the team introduced new “L1 <-> L2” views, developed to improve the user experience for both developers and users.
